In the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry, solvents like heptane are used to extract certain substances from natural products.
For example, a product for facial crèmes is obtained from the pulp of oranges and a product for body crèmes is obtained from the bark of oak trees.
Once the extraction process has been completed, both from an environmental and from an economical point of view it is advantageous to recover the solvent.
Celsius Drunen Holland developed a system with which the entire solvent can be recovered through a combined mechanical, thermal, vacuum and condensing process. This system got the name of Celsius Solvent Recoverer.
