Partikelsimulation mit Diskrete-Elemente-Methode in ROCKY

Seminar

Beware of falling rocks - Process optimization through particle simulation

Rocky dem is an ideal tool for the analysis of many applications in mechanical process engineering. It allows exact predictions of particle behavior, taking into account the dynamic interaction between particles and between particles and walls of components. Shock movements, energy absorption rates and particle breakage can be analyzed. Wherever large quantities of particles or, more generally, bodies are set in motion or are in motion, ROCKY can be used to understand and specifically improve the processes. ROCKY can be used to select size, shape, material and mutual interaction in a wide range. Typical fields of application include, for example, bulk, transport, separation, mixing, sorting and processing operations.
On the one hand, measures to optimize the transport process of the bulk material, for example to minimize material losses or to avoid dust formation, can be tested. On the other hand, the results provide important information for targeted improvements to plants, for example to increase the service life of conveyor belts and other components. Rocky dem is used to optimize agitator mills, SAG mills, crushers and high-pressure grinding rolls, among other things. The particle spectrum ranges from small synthetic particles such as tablets to rubble. Furthermore, production, transport and processing processes of components such as screws, washers, bottles etc. can be simulated.
