The Mogensen Sizer - The new dimension in classification
The complete Sizer family
Allgaier Process Technology expanded its MSizer portfolio with two more models: the MSizer Compact and the MSizer Giant.
The MSizer is based on the Sizer screening technology developed by Fredrik Mogensen over five decades ago, with different screen decks placed one above the other. The machine is adapted in terms of technology, design and function principle to the increased needs based on the most modern simulation methods and numerous tests in the Mogensen technical center.
High sieve quality and capacities can now be achieved due to optimized vibration of the sieve decks. Thanks to the new screen deck concept and the changed inclination of the screens, the MSizer combines the highest operational efficiency, as well as a robust and compact design with considerably lower operating costs.
The MSizer Compact replaces the previous short-deck sizer Mogensen G-Sizer. The advanced technology has been further optimized. The sizer is driven by a single vibrator, resulting in the typical elliptical movement pattern that prevents the screens from filling up and separates fractions better. This ensures efficient distribution and fractioning of the material. Thus, the MSizer Compact achieves a throughput of more than 40 rpm, e.g. for feed screening.
The design of the inlet and outlets makes flexible configurations possible. Each machine is adapted to specific requirements. The MSizer comes in four sizes, with a width of 0.5 to 2 m, which determines the capacity, and with 2 to 4 sieve decks.
The new MSizer Giant is the most powerful and flexible long-deck classifier based on the Sizer principle. With a throughput of more than 80 tph, e.g. the MSizer Giant is the largest sizer in the world when screening granulated sugar. The MSizer Giant is exclusively built with a working width of 3 m and a screen height of 3.35 m; optional with 2 to 6 sieve decks. This makes it possible to reduce the number of Sizers or conventional sieving machines in large factories and thereby effectively reduce investment costs in infrastructure as well as maintenance.
The gap between the two new models is completed by the fully optimized MSizer Extend, which was introduced in 2017 and can be used in almost all bulk material applications. The machine is available with a width of 1 m to 3 m, a screen deck length of 2.4 m, with 2 to 6 screen decks (depending on the fractionation requirement).
To find the optimum machine and configuration, customers can test their specific application at the Mogensen test centers in Wedel near Hamburg, Germany and in Hjo, Sweden.
