E-PrimeTracker being tested by well-known German company
Main role for intelligent belt tracker: E-PrimeTracker is to prove itself in the test. ScrapeTec from Kamp-Lintfort presented its E-PrimeTracker to the world public for the first time at the last bauma.
The intelligent belt tracker is equipped with sensors that record the belt running situation, belt speed and much more and can transmit this data to control systems for monitoring. This makes predictive maintenance possible, which can prevent damage, misalignment and even downtime on the belt.
A well-known German company has now agreed for the first time with ScrapeTec to install an E-PrimeTracker system on a critical conveyor belt, where the belt repeatedly moves, but the causes cannot be verified. The E-PrimeTracker should help here. In a timed test phase, it is checked whether the ScrapeTec solution can meet the customer requirements and can guarantee an uninterrupted belt run. With the new E-PrimeTracker, ScrapeTec specifically addresses the need for predictive maintenance.
So far, the developers from Kamp-Lintfort have been using their AirScrape dust protection solution, the non-contact conveyor skirting, in large mines worldwide and are now also gaining ground in Belgium, the Netherlands and their home country of Germany. The results from the E-PrimeTracker test at the new German customer will show whether this innovation will also be as successful as the other members of the product family. Sequel follows.
